MISSION STATEMENT

We wish to ultimately share the hope and love of Jesus Christ with others. We desire to be the hands and feet of Jesus to the Haitian people, while proclaiming His name and what he did for us on the cross and bringing clarity to false doctrine. We want them to understand that Jesus is the only way to heaven and that we cannot add to or take anything away from that truth.

STATEMENT OF FAITH

God
God is the Creator of all things. He eternally exists in three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. (Deut 6:4; Matt 28:19; 2 Cor 13:14; Eph 4:4-6; 1 Peter 1:2; Jude 20-21)

Jesus
Jesus is the eternal Son of God. He is fully God and fully man and he lived a sinless life. Jesus was born of the virgin Mary and He was conceived by the Holy Spirit. Through his crucifixion, he provided the substitutionary death for our sin and was raised from the dead on the third day. He defeated death. He appeared to many before ascending to heaven and is sitting at the right hand of God while making mediation for those that believe in him. He will return to this world to judge and to redeem His people. (Mat. 1:22-23; Isa. 9:6; John 1:1-5; 1 Cor. 15:3-4; 2 Cor. 5:18-21; Heb. 1:1-3; 1 Tim. 2:5)

Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit convicts sinners, baptizes them in the body of Christ, gives new life and spiritual gifts to them, indwells them and seals them until redemption day. Through the Holy Spirit living in us, others will be able to see Christ in us through our works. (John 16:5-14; 1 Thess. 1:5; Matt. 3:11; Gal. 5:22; Mark 1:8; 2 Cor. 1:22; Eph. 1:13; 1 Cor. 12:1-7; Acts 1:8; Eph. 5:8-21; 1 Cor. 3:16; 2 Cor. 3:6; 1 Cor. 12:13)

Salvation
One can receive salvation, which is the free gift of eternal life through their own personal faith in Jesus Christ, when he believes, through faith, that Jesus made redemption possible in his death and resurrection on the cross. Jesus paid the ransom for sin when all of God’s wrath was poured out onto him on the cross. He is the propitiation for our sin. We are regenerated through God’s grace by becoming a new creature in Christ. We are justified through his sacrifice on the cross. We have been set apart, sanctified, unto God for his glory. (John 3:16; 2 Cor. 5:21; Eph. 2:8-9; 1 Pet. 1:3-5; John 10:28-30)

Church
God commands His people to worship together regularly in a local church to join together in His ordinances, to evangelize, to edify and encourage. (Acts 1:9-11; 1 Thess. 4:13-18; Phil. 3:20; Rom. 6:23; Rev. 20:15; John 3:16; 1 John 2:25)

Spiritual Gifts
Spiritual gifts are given by the Holy Spirit to fulfill the mission of the church. They include wisdom through the spirit, word of knowledge, faith, healing, effecting of miracles, prophecy, distinguishing of spirits, tongues, interpretation of tongues, apostles, prophets, teachers, miracles, helps, and administrations. These spiritual gifts are to be used for the edification of the body of Christ. Tongues are not necessary for salvation or baptism in the Holy Spirit. Speaking in tongues occurred in Acts 2 at Pentecost and in the Corinthian church; for it to be done in accordance with what the Bible teaches, tongues must be interpreted when they are spoken to bring edification and understanding. Healing is the act of God through Jesus where a person is physically healed. Jesus did purchase healing when he died on the cross and rose from the dead; however, this doesn’t mean God owes us healing right now. Everything we ask in prayer won’t be accomplished the way we want. God knows what is best for us; we don’t. (1 Cor 12:7-11, 28-31; 1 Cor 13:1-2, 13; Roman 12; Eph 4; 1 Peter 4; 1John 5:14; 2 Cor 12:7-9)
